General conditions

You will find here the general conditions applicable to your rental.
Please read them carefully

1. The Contract
After having confirmed your reservation, a contract will be sent to you by e-mail established in your name and with the dates of your reservation. An acknowledgement of receipt must then be sent to us. We ask that you print the contract where you will find all the information related to your rental. The contract is immediately valid with payment by credit card. A payment by SWIFT transfer will mean that your reservation is only temporary until payment is received. In all cases, the person designated as responsible for the rental will accept these conditions on the part of all renters.The contract will be concluded for a determined duration between the owner and the client. The client can under no circumstances exercise the right to remain on the premises at the end of the stay. (Except with the approval of the owner.)

2. Your Stay
The rental begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m. on the dates defined in the contract.

3. Tariff
Our prices are presented except Fees. Those fees are calculated whichever the mode of payment based of the Total amount of the Hiring at the standard rate of 4,5%. The fees are payable with the reservation (deposit).

4. Payment

A) An installment of 50% of the rental cost + Financial Fees are required for the reservation. The balance must be settled upon your arrival. If you do not pay on the agreed dates, you will have been considered to have effectively cancelled your stay and we reserve the right to offer the apartment once again for rental. (See cancellation article 7.)
B) Payment of the instalment: by credit car in euros on our secure website or by "SWIFT" transfer in euros to our bank account. It is the reception of your instalment that confirms your definitive reservation.
C) Payment of the balance: it must be made upon your arrival exclusively in cash and the currency of euros, except Special Conditions of the apartment. (The owners do not accept cheques and do not have the means to accept payment by credit card.)

5. Security Deposit

The security deposit indicated for each apartment will be requested when entering the apartment. If the inventory of fixtures upon exiting the apartment does not bring to light any apparent problems, the security deposit will be returned with the collection of the keys. If there is any damage, the security deposit will be released after a period of 1 month after deducting the amount to cover damages, broken objects. In the case of damages exceeding the total sum of the security deposit, the owner reserves the right to take legal action against the renter. This contract is governed by French law and all its fundamental characteristics, the form or interpretation of which will remaining under the jurisdiction of French legislation. Any dissent arising from the execution of the present contract will be under the exclusive competence of French Courts. Please note that these conditions must be read and are included in the contract through a link that we ask you to read and accept. Payment for the reservation is considered the equivalent of accepting the general conditions.

6. Breach of Contract
If the clauses of the contract are not respected, additional funds could be requested or the owner could possibly request immediate eviction from the premises without compensation.

7. Cancellation by the customer
In the case of cancellation of your reservation, the following conditions will be applied:
A) cancellation more than 30 days before the beginning of your stay: half of the instalment will be retained.
B) cancellation less than 30 days before the beginning of your stay: the entirety of the instalment will be retained if you cannot find a substitute client.
C) Interruption of your stay: in the case of an anticipated interruption by the renter, and if the owner`s responsibility is not implicated, there will be no reimbursement apart from the security deposit under the condition that there was no damage at the time of the inventory of fixtures when exiting the apartment.

8. You are Responsible

A) for all deterioration of the property and its contents caused by you or by a member of your group or by one of your guests. You are also responsible for all damages sustained by a third party and which result from an act committed by you or by a member of your group or by a guest invited by you or a member of your group.
B) for the state of cleanliness of the property at the end of your stay. Any violation on your part or on the part of a member of your group can lead to a deduction of your security deposit and even additional costs if the deterioration exceeds the amount of your security deposit.

9. The owner is required to
A) Respect the general conditions and not request additional charges unless these are stipulated in the “Special Conditions” of the apartment.
B) Supply the client with household linens upon arrival.
C) Respect the commitments undertaken with the client during the e-mail exchanges.
D) Return the security deposit upon the client’s departure after check-out.
In the case of a violation of these rules, we ask that you contact us immediately at the beginning of your stay in the apartment at: apartrental@mac.com or immediately after any disagreement with the owner by asking that he/she contact us by telephone so that the problem can be promptly resolved.

10. Sleeping Capacity of the Apartment
In no case is the number of renters to be superior to the sleeping capacity of the apartment, which is stipulated in the contract. However, a child`s bed can be added as an option if requested (less than 20 months old). Animals are prohibited.

11. Price Guarantee

The price of the stay is guaranteed with the approval of your reservation. Water, electricity, heating and taxes during your stay are included in this amount. This price also includes cleaning services and all household linens (except under special conditions).
Any additional costs for the apartment will be specifically mentioned under “Special Conditions” of the apartment on the website. These “Special conditions” will also be referred to in the contract.
In the case of a stay exceeding 2 (two) weeks, the renter can request the free renewal of all household linens from the 8th day.

12. Options
Options available: A child`s bed (less than 20 months old) in certain apartments for a 70 euro fee covering the entire duration of the rental. . Additional cleaning upon request.

The owner cannot be held responsible:

  • For the temporary defect of equipment, for electricity power cuts, for a water reduction cuts through no fault of his/her own, for loss, breakage or injury due to weather conditions, riot, strike or any other circumstances independent of his/her will.

  • In the case that the apartment is destroyed or considerably damaged BEFORE the beginning of the rental, the renter will be notified by e-mail and completely reimbursed as soon as possible. In the case of misunderstanding, the owner will in no case be responsible to the renter for a sum exceeding the total price of the rental.
